Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane has teamed up with the original creators of Carl Sagan’s 1980 series Cosmos: A Personal Voyage.  More than three decades after the debut of Carl Sagan’s stunning and iconic exploration of the universe as revealed by science, Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey sets off on a new voyage for the stars.

Sagan’s original creative collaborators – executive producer/writer/director Ann Druyan and astronomer Steven Soter along with MacFarlane have conceived a 13-part series hosted by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.  The series will explore how we discovered the laws of nature and found our coordinates in space and time. It will bring to life never-before-told stories of the heroic quest for knowledge and transport you to new worlds and across the universe for a vision of the cosmos on the grandest scale.

The first episode ‘Standing Up In The Milky Way’ premieres on Sunday 16th March 7pm on National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo WILD and Sky 1.  You are invited to step on board the ship of the imagination with Neil deGrasse Tyson. The ship is unfettered by ordinary limits of speed and size and can take us anywhere in space and time. Be prepared to discover secrets you never knew about the cosmos and see sights that will inspire you. It’s time once again to set sail for the stars!
